Sometimes the device image can get corrupted. In that case, simply wipe your node/device and refresh your topology. This brings back the device to its base configuration.

Before I buy ?

Q. Do you sell CCIE workbooks
A. No, we don’t sell CCIE workbooks, we only offer a platform for the CCIE lab practice.

Q. Do you offer Solution for the CCIE lab
A. No, we are a platform provider. We don’t provide answers to your CCIE task.

Q. Is this a real CCIE topology published under Topology section?
A. We don’t know, we setup CCIE topologies from different vendors, CCIE study communities, and customer feedback. We do not endorse or promote any workbook Vendor.

Q. Do you provide initial configuration for CCIE Labs?
A. No, we don’t provide initial configuration. We provide a platform, if you have initial configuration from your workbook Vendor, we will load it for you before your lab starts and you can save the config on the remote desktop securely with your name and we will sync it for you.  A lot of training companies do publish the workbooks with the initial configurations and as long as they publish it publically, we will get it for you.

Q. Do you provide CCIE Training or partner with any CCIE workbook vendors?

A. No, we don’t provide CCIE or any other training. We do not partner with any workbook Vendors, however, we do recommend CCIE360, INE.com, and micronicstraining.com. They are the industry leader and have a stellar reputation in training. For CCIE written, we have found CCIEin8weeks.com in a great resource.

Q. Why are you labs expensive than other vendors
A. We offer high-quality labs. All our hardware is Genuine Cisco, fully licensed and all the VMS in the labs run on Cisco UCS with SSD’s. Given our quality, our prices are incredibly low.

Q. Do you have Virtual CCIE labs?
A. Yes, we do offer CCIE RS, CCIE SECURITY, CCIE SP Topologies as an add-on our EVE-NG Hosted Services ( EVE-NG Launching Early January 2018). You can lease an EVE-NG instance by the most and run pretty much any virtual device or topology.

Q. In my Actual lab, I had X things and you don’t have it configured on Device Y.

A. First, you are strictly bound by Cisco NDA not to discuss your lab with anyone. Second, its a practice lab, it’s an unrealistic expectation to think its a replica of the actual lab.

Q. What if I don’t like your labs?

A.  We try everything possible to make our customer happy with our services. If you still don’t like our labs and we are not able to provide you working lab environment, we will give you a 100% refund.

What is VIRL and how it works?

VIRL, Cisco’s Virtual Internet Routing Lab, which is a powerful virtualization platform that lets you enjoy the convenience of getting a hand on an accurate simulation of real network operations. It is comprised of a number of Cisco Virtual Machines (VMs) that can give you the ability to design a network, configure the Virtual Machines and run an instance or play the simulation with automated configuration and experience a ?real? network.

The Virtual Machines run under Cisco Operating System such as:

  • IOS, IOS Layer-2 Switching
  • IOS XE, IOS XR
  • NXOS, ASA-V
  • Linux Containers
  • Open Stack Cluster
  • Open APIs

The biggest advantage of VIRL is the quick setup and portability. You do not have to do any wiring and troubleshoot your connectivity, saving you from hours of establishing your lab connections and rather enable you to get down to your business with just a quick launch of your VM. VIRL also allows you to save your topology on your machine and pick up where you left of.

Why use Cloudmylab Rentals vs your PC/LAPTOP for Virtual Labs

Going for a Cisco certification is a tough thing to do. It requires a lot of study time and practice labs in order to get you ready to pass the lab in first attempt. At CloudMyLab, one of our aims is to give Cisco aspirants ready-to-use racks with the lab topologies you will require for your studies. We can even customize the racks according to your lab needs.

When it comes to lab practices, it is best to utilize CloudMyLab rack rentals for the following reasons:

Budget-Wise Lab Practice!

A rack rental company can setup labs using both physical and virtual machines for the purpose of renting it out to a number of students. If you build your lab for your sole use, you will find yourself spending more to get the hardware and software licenses compared to the expenses of just renting out a dedicated rack at CloudMyLab. We have all the hardware and software according to Cisco’s lab blueprints.

Imagine to run a CCIERS effectively, you need minimum 8 cores of CPU and 16GB RAM plus some kind of virtualization software like VMware workstation/Fusion etc.

Now ask yourself these questions?

  1. Is it worth investing $1000 – $1800 on a computer and reduce its life by heavily engaging the CPU and memory. Consumer grade computers are not designed to handle the high IOPS required for running the virtual labs. We are not saying it won’t work but is it worth it?
  2. Is it worth investing mammoth amount of hours troubleshooting and installing and getting it to work right, I would rather study in those hours. Wouldn’t it be so much convenient that someone actually takes care of all of it for you while you spend time with family or studying. Moreover, you can just open a ticket to get your questions answered about the virtual lab topological instead of going through thousand different community forums just to make your lab work on your laptop?

Support for Higher System Requirements

If you practice labs on laptops using VIRL or GNS3, you can surely practice basic labs. However, these simulators have limitations. VIRL has only 30 nodes for your use with a license cost of $300/Year , while with GNS3, you need to purchase software and licenses. As you go deeper into your lab, some technologies will require higher system resources which laptops and the above simulators do not support. At CloudMyLab, you will not have to worry about getting a new set of hardware to setup the lab topology you need. For as low as $1 an hour for CCIERS, you can have all the resources you need in one pod.

Less Setup Time, More Study Time

Setting up a lab on laptops may take you some time to make it work. You will notice that you are spending time troubleshooting on the topology you need, instead of practicing on the configurations right away. If you try CloudMyLab, you will experience the ease of getting down to business. You can have the flexibility of reserving a dedicated lab/pod. During your session at your convenient time, just load our initial configs to establish Layer 2 connections and you are all set to start your lab.

Study Anywhere, Anytime!

All racks at CloudMyLab (whether physical or virtual) can be accessed anywhere you are in the world. If you have to travel, you are relieved of having to carry your self-made lab with you. Our labs/pods are accessed via Remote Desktop Protocol and all terminals and pods are already pre-arranged using SecureCRT.

If you try to evaluate, you will find that using a rack rental has a lot of advantages compared to doing your labs on laptops. With CloudMyLab, we can get you prepared sooner and better!
